My professional journey began in business journalism in 2007, where I covered MSMEs, StartUps, industry and economic developments. Covered various Ministries (Health and Family Welfare, AYUSH, MSMEs, Finance, Commerce and Industry, Skill Development, Heavy Industries, Corporate Affairs, Defence, New and Renewable Energy, External Affairs, Telecom, Science and Technology, Chemicals and Fertilizers, Food Processing, etc), Central Government departments and PSUs with policies (PMO, DGFT, DGS&D, RDSO, Defence Offset, NSIC, SIDBI, CGTMSE, QCI, PCRA, CRISIL, SMERA, etc)
I later spent over a decade with Dainik Jagran Group (Jagran New Media), reporting on education policy, higher education, skill development, epmployment and government reforms. During this period, I closely tracked policy decisions, regulatory changes and institutional developments, helping simplify complex issues for diverse audiences.
My interest in healthcare grew through academic upskilling and professional experience. I completed D.Pharma to gain a stronger understanding of the healthcare ecosystem and later worked with the Central Council for Research in Ayurvedic Sciences (CCRAS), Ministry of Ayush, Government of India where I contributed to institutional communications, publications, media outreach, MoUs, Partnerships, Procurements (GeM Tendering) and stakeholder engagement. I also served as the Nodal Officer – Media for the WHO Global Traditional Medicine Centre Conclave, gaining valuable exposure to national and international healthcare communication.
Today, my work focuses on helping healthcare organizations communicate more effectively with patients, policymakers, industry stakeholders and the wider public. My areas of interest include healthcare policy, public affairs, hospital reputation, pharmaceuticals, medical devices, diagnostics, digital health, medical education and AYUSH.
